Dr. Van Boven has specialized training in diagnosing and treating traumatic brain injury from the highest institutions (John's Hopkins, National Institutes of Health), and spent years as research director for the VA and Dept. of Defense to treat our wounded warriors. He has seen the extent of brain injury, and fight's for a patient's proper diagnosis and recovery.

We offer specialized testing to detect brain injury on areas of cognition. What is neuropsychological testing?

•  It is much like a computer game

• It provides results on where you stand among the uninjured population, with adjusted scores for age and education (apples to apples)

• It provides a benchmark to monitor your changes in performance over time

• It tests all areas of brain function (i.e. executive function, attention, working memory, episodic memory, language, processing speed, working memory) to give insight into areas of weakness/opportunity for improvement

Brain injury evaluation also includes visual-oculomotor (VOMS testing for dizziness and visual problems associated with brain injury.
